Biographical or Historical Information
The Clayton State Music Department begin as the Music Program in January 1974 under the Fine Arts Department of Clayton Junior College. The program offered an Associate in Arts two year degree, with 93 quarter credit hours and 53 credits hours earned in music. The Music Faulty was comprised of Doris Holloway who served as the Coordinator of Fine Arts, Paul Wiens as the Choral Director, Jeannine Morrison, Pianist; and Joseph Seidel, woodwinds. The mission of the program was to develop skills in performance of music and the instruction of amateur musicians.
