Biographical or Historical Information
Scott Evans a photographic artist stared the company The Image Doctor Inc. in 1980, specializing in the restoration and perservation of photographs. By 2010, he combined Scott Evans Photograohic Artist brand and The Image Doctor businesses into one company called Image Doctor Media LLC. Scott was ablet to combine services, locations and the talents of other photographers to provide a wider range of options cartering to all budget types. The company's services then expanded to providing seminars, workshops, instructional videos and courses, and planning for the opening of a Museum of Photographic History and Image Making Devices as of 2017.
Through his photography and visual media preservation efforts he has captured the local history of Clayton County and the city of McDonough in particular for future generations to enjoy and learn from. Scott's family played an inportant roll in the history of Clayton State University. His family owned the property that then Clayton Junior College purchased in the late 1960's. Mr. Evans has many pictures and extensive oral histories of how the land looked and was used before it was sold to the institution.
